The GPH-UNDP-EC Early Recovery and Rehabilitation Project in Central Mindanao (ERRCM) is now open for interested NGOs willing to participate in the selection of Responsible Partner (RP) for the implementation of Livelihood projects, Preparation of Barangay Development Plan (BDP), Barangay Risk Assessment and Contingency Planning and Procurement and Distribution of Non-Food Items (NFI) to pre-selected 12 Barangays in Maguindanao and 6 Barangays in Lanao del Sur.

Selected NGOs will prepare project proposal(s) according the terms of reference provided by ERRCM Desk for ARMM operations. Work details per project type are as follows:

Civil servants to divulge more detail in revised SALN form PDF Print E-mail

Cotabato City— Public officials and employees will have to disclose more information in their statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) from this year on following the adoption of a revised SALN form for the year 2011 and onwards by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

In its Memorandum Circular No. 19, CSC enjoined all government employees and public officials to use the new form in filing their SALN for 2011 and onwards.

According to Resurreccion Pueyo, director CSC’s field office in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), officials and employees will now have to declare the financial and business interests of their spouses and unmarried children under 18 years of age living in their households, including the amounts and sources of their income, the amounts of their personal and family expenses, and the amount of income taxes paid for the next preceding calendar year, pursuant to Republic Act No. 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

10 of the 95 housing units for ARMM workers set to be finished this April PDF Print E-mail

Cotabato City— Housing officials of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) are pushing for the completion of at least 10 of the 95 houses in the first-ever housing project being built for the region’s personnel, in keeping with the first 100 days targets of ARMM Officer-in-charge (OIC) Governor Mujiv Hataman.

Amihilda Sangcopan- Abdulhakim, chief-of-staff of ARMM’s office of the regional governor and chairperson of the Regional Housing and Rural Development Authority, said they plan to have the construction of the ten houses, including the perimeter fencing, drainage system and road networks within the housing project, finished in around three months – in time for Hataman’s first 100 days report.

DSWD-ARMM will put up at least 480 day care centers and 699 modified core shelters in the province of Maguindanao using some of the P8.5-billion ARMM stimulus fund. The above constitutes in simplified graphical form a one-page summary report on the new programs and project of the Bureau of Public Information, in support to the Open Governance Policy and the Reform agenda of the Hataman Administration: 1) Good Governance; 2) Socioeconomic Uplift; 3) Infrastructure Development, and 4) Peace and Security.

Of all four agenda, however, only infrastructure development that the BPI does not have a corresponding program or project to. Bound by time, we have set activities for planning, policy formulation, review and approval in 98 days to put in place planned changes in both the administrative and operational functions of BPI (good governance), and carry out each activity in close working coordination with higher levels and other offices, toward the 100th day of the New Administration.

Cotabato City – In a leveling-off meeting yesterday afternoon, Jan. 30, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) headed by JICA Chief Representative Mr. Takahiro Sasaki updates the newly-appointed cabinet officials of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) under OIC Governor Mujiv Hataman led by Executive Secretary Atty. Anwar A. Malang on the partnership of JICA and ARMM including its basic policy for cooperation in pursuit of peace and development in Mindanao.

Sasaki pointed out that JICA would be focusing its cooperation on human resource development programs for ARMM. He was accompanied by Mr. Shinichi Masuda, JICA Senior Representative, Ms. Mayuko Shimakage, JICA Project Formulation Advisor, and other JICA officials.
